NHS Examinations
Many people can still benefit from an eye examination through the NHS.
You can receive a FREE NHS eye examination if you are:
- Under 16, under 19 in full time education or over 60.
- People (or partners of people) on income support, tax credit, income-based Job-Seeker's allowance, or pension credit guarantee credit.
- Holders (or partners of holders) of an exemption certificate (HC2).
- People who need certain complex lenses
- People diagnosed diabetic or with glaucoma.
- People aged 40 or over who are the brother, sister or child of a diagnosed glaucoma patient.
- People registered blind or partially sighted.
